Hannah Epstein

I’m a freelance reporter and recent graduate of Bryn Mawr College. I’ve written for the Nation, the Dispatch, the Baltimore Sun, and other outlets. In college, I served as co-Editor in Chief of our student-run newspaper, the Bi-College News, and received national recognition by the Student Press Law Center, the Education Writers Association, and the Society of Professional Journalists for my investigations into administrative malpractice. I was awarded the Thomas J. Watson Fellowship upon graduation, and have since begun a research project focused on local news initiatives in post-conflict countries. Over the course of the next year, I’ll be traveling to Northern Ireland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, and Indonesia, where I’ll connect with local newsrooms and journalists. I regularly publish my journalism on my Substack page entitled The Divide. My reporting centers on peace processes, human rights, and the politics of memory in post-conflict nations.
